is searching for a
Maintenance Mechanic Technician
for a manufacturing company located in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of manufacturing equipment through hands‑on mechanical and electrical maintenance. Pay Rate
$20-22 per hour Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm. (OT mandatory if needed) Hours may vary depending on the workload. Maintenance Mechanical Technician Duties and Responsibilities
Preventive Maintenance: Develop and execute scheduled maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and PLC‑related issues across various systems and machinery. Perform repairs using appropriate tools and techniques. Equipment Optimization: Support the transition to automated systems by maintaining and upgrading equipment to meet evolving production needs. System Inspections: Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify wear, damage, or potential failures. Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage. Communicate findings and recommendations to supervisors. Maintenance Mechanical Technician Qualifications and Requirements
Mechanical Proficiency: Strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, conveyors, and rotating equipment. Electrical Knowledge: Experience with wiring, schematics, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams. PLC Troubleshooting: Familiarity with automation systems and ability to troubleshoot PLCs is highly valued. Fabrication & Welding: Ability to fabricate or modify parts as needed for repairs or upgrades. Job Type
