Physical Therapist (Inpatient) - Per Diem - $61.80/hr
Join the Therapy Services Team at Kingman Regional Medical Center. The role is a per diem appointment with a rate of $61.80 per hour in an interdisciplinary inpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct a Physical Therapy evaluation or screen.
Develop an individualized Plan of Care with functional goals.
Provide appropriate therapeutic interventions.
Evaluate patient response to treatment and modify plan as necessary.
Document the course of patient care, including progress made and the continuing need for treatment.
Provide patient and/or family education to help achieve goals.
Communicate and demonstrate a professional image for patients, families, clients, coworkers, and others.
Adhere to policies, rules, and regulations from KHI, the Arizona State Board of Physical Therapy, and Medicare.
Assist with orientation of new staff as requested.
Meet KHI requirements for skills competency and safety.
Participate in continuing education/professional development activities.
Assist with the Physical Therapy and Physical Therapy Assistant student program.
Participate in staff meetings, client relations, and marketing activities.
Maintain complete and accurate documentation, meeting all regulatory requirements.
Complete billing by the end of each shift, ensuring accuracy and justification in documentation.
Meet individual productivity standards.
Achieve or exceed patient satisfaction standards.
Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of an APTA approved four‑year bachelor’s degree program, or foreign equivalent.
Licensure:
Current PT License through the Arizona Board of Physical Therapy.
Certification:
BLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Experience:
Recent experience working with an adult and geriatric population.
Preferences:
Education or experience serving people with physical disabilities is desirable.
Special Position Requirements
Exposure Category II: duties have possible, but not routine, potential for exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues.
Work Requirements
Ability to lift and transfer patients and equipment.
Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, crouch, and communicate during therapeutic interventions.
