Supportive mentorship & buddy programs. Salary Range : The full pay range for this role is $22.00 to $37.00 per hour. The target range for this position is $26.00 to $30.00 per hour. We generally base our salary decisions on factors such as internal equity, candidate work and/leadership experience, educational credentials, and in some cases, candidate work location. Responsibilities
In the field: Performs preventative maintenance on wind turbines, utility scale photovoltaic power plants and storage systems. Under the supervision of an experienced technician, performs troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades/revisions to a broad range of equipment in the renewable industry. Properly completes Job Safety Assessments, applies LOTO plans & procedures, identifies & reports all safety hazards on the jobsite and suggests improvements, attends safety meetings. Participates in the 24hr/weekly On Call rotation & work outside business hours when needed. Attends safety and technical training required for this position. Administrative duties, such as documenting completed jobs, implementing supply orders. Complete daily work orders, time tracking and any other required paperwork for the specific project/assignment. Other duties as assigned. Supervison of Others: None. Working Conditions & Physical
100% of time is spent working in the renewable asset field with marginal time in an office. Requires PPE, and the role includes eight hours per day, forty hours per week, with overtime and night shifts as required. The work environment includes extreme weather, high voltage, moving parts, confined spaces, and variable noise levels. Education/Experience: High school Diploma or equivalent required. 2 to 4 years of experience in renewable energy or a similar discipline. Must meet Qualified Electrical Worker standards. Required Certifications: OSHA 10 or equivalent, Basic Safety Training (BST), Basic Technical Training (BTT), Control of Hazardous Energies (CoHE), Slinger and Signaler, NFPA 70E and NFPA 70B or equivalent. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Valid driver’s license and ability to operate motor vehicles. Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components of wind turbines/photovoltaic power and energy storage systems. Familiar with CSA Z462 / NFPA 70E and PPE requirements; ability to read schematics; use a multi-meter; basic computer skills; following verbal and written instructions; good communication in English. Physical Requirements: Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds; ability to climb ladders and work at heights; exposure to extreme weather; confined spaces; ability to work on wind platforms and nacelles.
