Position location and reporting : Based at our Florence, Kentucky site. This role reports to the Senior Engineering/Maintenance Manager and works closely with the Engineering team. Position Responsibilities
Design, implement, and improve bottling and packaging processes to increase throughput, reduce waste, and enhance product quality. Analyze process deviations, identify root causes, and apply corrective actions to resolve manufacturing issues. Develop and maintain process documentation, including flow diagrams, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA) and internal quality requirements. Lead Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to drive waste reduction, cost savings, and process efficiency. Collaborate with production, quality assurance, maintenance, and corporate teams to align processes with business goals. Oversee equipment installation, validation, and recommend automation solutions to optimize manufacturing operations. Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, industrial engineering, or related field Minimum of 3 years' experience in process engineering, preferably within chemical manufacturing or product bottling Working knowledge of regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA), quality standards (ISO, GMP), and process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen Highly Preferred
Certification in Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher) Essential Position Functions
Follow all safety protocols, including proper PPE use (note: contact lenses prohibited on the production floor). Stand, walk, bend, and stretch for extended periods; lift up to 50 pounds as needed. Tolerate typical manufacturing environment conditions, including odors. Use strong quantitative skills and effective communication, negotiation, and organizational abilities.
