Vicor . Self-motivated individual responsible for the design and construction of various types of molds, punching and forming dies. Work with Vicor’s engineering groups to develop, construct, modify tooling, jigs, fixtures and modeled parts; keep accurate records of these processes. Machine mold and die components and complex close-tolerance parts from engineered plastics, alloy tool steels, metals and composites, using verbal instructions, blueprints, sketches, or CAD data, with minimal supervision. Ability to set up, program, and run all CNC-operated and conventional tool room equipment. Responsibilities
Design and construct molds, punching dies, and forming dies; collaborate with engineering groups to develop tooling, jigs, fixtures, and modeled parts; maintain accurate process records. Machine mold and die components and complex close-tolerance parts from plastics, metals, alloys, and composites. Read and interpret verbal instructions, blueprints, sketches, or CAD databases; work with minimal supervision. Set up, program, and operate CNC and conventional tool room equipment. Qualifications
8+ years of experience in the machine tool trade. 4 years mold making/tool making experience preferred. Technical education degree or equivalent. Proficient in CAD/CAM software (Mastercam preferred). 4 years minimum experience in programming and operation of Fanuc Wire EDM. Proficient in CAD/database file management. Thorough knowledge of various metals and plastics. Ability to complete all aspects of mold making/tool making from design to completion. Compensation
Salary Range:
$67,840
-
$80,000 . Note: This range is based on market-driven pay structures. Individual salaries are determined based on qualifications, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. Employment details
