Overview
Ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and experience with construction project bid documents, with a focus on delivering cost-effective solutions for complex commercial projects. Responsibilities
Study and understand scopes of work for sophisticated commercial-level building systems and controls. Verify compliance with bid instructions throughout the bid process, obtain all necessary documentation, and submit a complete bid packet on time. Perform quantity take-offs for self-performed work. Evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids to confirm scope of work and materials quoted meet bid documents and project requirements. Prepare competitive bid packages for a variety of clients. Prepare contract startup templates, permits, subcontracts, and purchase orders. Generate a master schedule for projects with input from the VP of Operations and Project Superintendent(s). Review and approve subcontractor invoices monthly and prepare owner invoices based on work completed to date. Manage projects to completion while maintaining quality, cost, and schedule. Qualifications
An Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical), Building Construction, or Architecture Degree. 2–5 years or more of commercial construction experience as a field engineer, assistant project manager, estimator, or project manager. Ability to pass background and drug screening is REQUIRED.
