Responsibilities
Moves levers and presses pedals to drive the forklift and control movement of the lifting apparatus.
Positions forks or other lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, or products, and transports the load to a designated area.
Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, records shortages, rejects damaged items, and notifies Food Safety and Quality Assurance of damaged or out‑of‑spec items.
Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering the lifting device.
Inventories materials on the work floor and supplies workers with materials as needed.
Scans all inbound and outbound pallets.
Weighs materials or products and records weight on tags or production schedules, and applies barcode labels.
Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting devices.
Lubricates the truck, recharges or changes batteries, fills the fuel tank, or replaces the liquefied gas tank.
Will be assigned work in sub‑zero freezer areas with proper company PPE provided.
Uses the SAP program to look up and verify shipment details, print labels and bills.
Follows plant food safety and quality policies and procedures.
Additional Responsibilities
Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures.
Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.
Performs other similar or related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Three to six months experience driving forklifts.
Must be forklift certified, or be able to become forklift certified, and qualify for lift truck certification within two weeks.
Preferred Qualifications
One year of college or technical school certification; or three to six months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands
Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
Frequently required to climb or balance.
Occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
Moves objects:
Regularly up to 10 lbs
Frequently up to 25 lbs
Occasionally up to 50 lbs
Work Authorizations
This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
Compensation This is a nonexempt position with an hourly rate of $19.35 to $26.07 per hour.
