Construction Superintendent-BESS (Manufacturing) Position Summary Pike Electric is seeking a field base seasoned Construction Superintendent with extensive experience in Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. This individual will play a critical leadership role in the successful execution of large-scale BESS construction efforts, overseeing field operations, managing crews, and ensuring project milestones are met safely, on time, and within budget.

Essential Functions

Lead and supervise all phases of BESS construction projects from site mobilization through commissioning.

Manage and coordinate field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure efficient and safe operations.

Leverage existing relationships to bring in qualified crews as the project scales (targeting 250–350 headcount additions).

Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align field execution with project goals.

Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.

Provide regular progress updates and resolve field-level issues proactively.

Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years of experience in BESS or utility-scale energy construction, with a strong background in field operations.

Proven ability to manage large crews and complex construction timelines.

Established network of field crews and subcontractors is highly preferred.

Strong understanding of electrical systems, civil construction, and energy storage technologies.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Willingness to travel and work in the field as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Field-first mindset with the ability to transition between hands‑on supervision and strategic oversight.

Demonstrated success in scaling teams and operations in fast‑paced environments.

OSHA certification or other relevant safety training is a plus.

The employee may be subject to one or more of the following atmospheric conditions that may affect the respiratory system from fumes, odors, dust, mist, or gases. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is performed in outside weather conditions.
