Role Overview
Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Salary: £46k + Overtime. Holidays: 33 days. Shifts: 3 rotating shifts. Benefits: OTE up to £50k + 5% employer pension, death-in-service coverage, training and development, abundant overtime.
Responsibilities
Plan and perform reactive maintenance and service of all state-of-the-art equipment.
Work alongside a diverse, highly skilled on‑site maintenance engineering team of 10 engineers.
Replace worn‑out conveyor components, including rollers, bearings, gearboxes, and pneumatics.
Operate lathe, milling, and CNC machines for machining and fabrication tasks as required.
Interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Qualifications
Mechanical NVQ Level 3 qualification with adequate experience.
Demonstrated experience in high‑speed production, manufacturing, or FMCG environments (highly desirable but not essential).
