Role & Responsibilities
Develop, qualify, and optimize cleaning processes for ceramic components to meet ultra-clean specifications. Use structured problem-solving methodologies to resolve complex issues involving critical manufacturing processes to achieve consistent and repeatable results Under moderate supervision, utilizes understanding of ceramics manufacturing techniques to meet ultra-clean specifications. Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for cleaning-related yield losses or contamination events. Responsible for mid-size projects including training and guiding plant engineering and manufacturing team members. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure ceramic part cleanliness throughout the product lifecycle. Maintain and improve cleanroom protocols, contamination control strategies, and chemical safety standards. Participate in NPI (New Product Introduction) efforts, providing input on cleanability and surface preparation of ceramic designs. Responsible for process improvements that deliver yield improvements at their location. Job Requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related engineering discipline. Chemical, Materials, or Ceramic Engineering preferred. 0-5 years of Engineering experience, preferably in high-purity cleaning processes. Manufacturing experience preferred. Class 1000 (ISO 6) cleanroom experience preferred. Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Understanding of ceramic materials (e.g., alumina, zirconia, silicon carbide) and their interaction with cleaning agents and process environments a plus. Experience with cleanroom manufacturing practices preferred. Familiarity with analytical techniques such as FTIR, XPS, SEM/EDX, ICP-MS, and particle counting preferred. Strong Project Management skills. Software knowledge: MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Minitab are required. Experience with Access, AutoCAD, AutoDesk Inventor and MasterCAM are a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds. Target Hiring Range
