Job Description Join our Urgent Care team as a Patient Access Representative! This integral administrative role plays a crucial part in maintaining the utmost organization and efficiency within our medical office.
Position Purpose As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for providing essential clerical support and ensuring a seamless patient registration process. This entails verifying benefits, facilitating patient discharges, collecting copays or payments, maintaining accurate account balances, and performing general data entry tasks.
Hours/Shift Full Time/Days 7:00 am - 7:00 pm. This is a 12 hr work schedule for 3 days a week. Shifts may include holidays and weekends. Enjoy extra pay for weekend hours!

Key Responsibilities Provides excellent customer service completing the registration process for patients. Confirms patient demographic information, verification of benefits, scheduling and coordinating post discharge care for patients, collection of copays or payments, balancing of accounts, and general data entry. Preregister, register, schedule, reschedule, and discharge patients according to the defined guidelines.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Certification: BLS through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
License: AZ DPS Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
Experience: 1+ years' experience working in a customer service and/or office setting
Work Requirements Able to reach above and below shoulder level, lift, bend, kneel, squat, stand, walk, and sit for the full scheduled shift; able to use business office equipment/computer. Expected duties have, but not routine exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
