Responsibilities
Escort patients to and from the exam room and prepare them for examination.
Enter complete medical histories and current medications into the chart.
Assist the physician/provider by scribing notes in the patient’s medical record.
Assist with setting up biopsies, excisions, suture removals, and cosmetic procedures.
Prepare and collect pathology/lab specimens, notify patients of results, and schedule follow‑up appointments.
Daily cleaning and organizing of exam rooms, including stocking.
Maintain laboratory equipment through cleaning and autoclaving instruments.
Perform other duties assigned to the back office.
Qualifications Education
High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
Certified Medical Assistant preferred but not required.
Medical Assistant training is required.
Experience & Skills
1‑2 years of experience as a medical assistant in a medical office.
Prior dermatology and cosmetic experience preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
Strong phone etiquette and teamwork.
Professional appearance and mannerisms.
Compassionate and caring demeanor toward patients and coworkers.
Ability to prioritize tasks and follow provider instructions.
Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
Experience working with electronic medical records.
