Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN in California with a current CA RN license and ACLS/BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

Work in the Operating Room of an acute care hospital setting

Serve a diverse surgical patient population including trauma, orthopedic, vascular, neurological, ENT, thoracic, and general cases

Utilizes Cerner EMR system

12-hour shifts on a rotating day/night schedule (7p-7a and 11a-11p), with on-call requirements during weekdays and weekends

Expected to take call 3-4 times within a 4-week schedule

Must pass Relias Dysrhythmia exam prior to offer (if required by facility)

Testing on sterile technique for Foley catheter and central line dressing changes may be required during orientation

Candidates may not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) at any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year

Orientation includes 12 hours

Copy of driver's license required for onboarding

Requirements

Active CA RN license required at time of consideration (pending licenses not accepted)

Current ACLS and BLS certifications required

Minimum of 2 years recent OR RN experience

COVID vaccination required per hospital policy

Two professional references: one supervisor from the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the last 3 years
