An additional incentive bonus of $1500 may be awarded after 6 months, based on performance and other factors. NOTE: Internal candidates do not qualify for bonuses. This position is based in Plymouth Meeting, PA. As an Unaccompanied Children (UC) Transitional Foster Care Case Manager, you will provide casework and supportive services to children in foster care, foster families, and biological families referred to Refugee and Immigrant Services TFC program. This role operates with moderate supervision and adheres to agency, federal, and state regulatory requirements. Essential Job Responsibilities
Complete trauma-focused initial intake assessment within 24 hours of arrival and ensure youth feel safe and oriented to the agency and foster home. Ensure all assigned youth receive mandatory services (mental health, medical, recreational, educational, and other supports) in accordance with program timelines. Maintain accurate, current information on foster children in care and meet ORR and Bethany internal documentation and reporting requirements. Lead the treatment team in collaboration with the youth’s therapist. Actively participate in weekly staff meetings with the treatment team and stakeholders. Attend, facilitate, and assist with ongoing education and support services to foster parents. Attend weekly meetings with supervisor to consult on cases, review case plans, and evaluate client participation and progress. Co-lead education group sessions with educational staff. Assist the licensing team in ensuring foster families are well trained to support UC’s in their home. Schedule monthly meetings with foster parents and foster children and address any concerns in service delivery. Translate written and verbal communication for program clientele and staff, if bilingual. Maintain effective communication with community agencies or individuals involved in service provision. Attend internal and external training and apply new knowledge to services. Attend and prepare for required court hearings (if applicable). Transport clients as needed. Stay informed about community resources and refer families for support as needed. Stay abreast of agency, federal, and state regulatory requirements related to social services. Complete other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences, Human Services, or a related field from an accredited college. Child welfare and/or case management experience preferred. Knowledge of basic principles and methods of social work as gained through a bachelor’s degree. Bi-lingual English and Spanish; prior experience with refugee and/or immigrant populations preferred. Mature, stable judgment and sensitivity to diverse cultures and refugee histories. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated clinical, therapeutic, and crisis intervention skills. Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality. Computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite. Must be 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and at least 3 years driving experience in the U.S.; must pass MVR check and maintain a vehicle with adequate insurance. Pass a criminal history check, including state and local child protection registries. Immunity to vaccine-preventable diseases or willingness to receive vaccination or obtain an exemption.
