Molecular biologist to aid in characterization of recombinant mammalian cell lines. Requirements: BS/MS in molecular biology or related field. At least one year of laboratory experience. Familiarity with general cell culture techniques (e.g., aseptic passaging of cell lines). Experience with RNA, cDNA and genomic DNA preparation. Proficiency in DNA/RNA electrophoresis, and Northern and Southern analyses. Experience with molecular cloning techniques such as plasmid construction, preparation and analysis. Knowledge of DNA sequencing technologies and analysis of DNA sequencing data, including multiple sequence alignments and identification of mutant sequences. Understanding of in silico protein translation. Required Personality Traits:

gDNA/RNA preparation; northern/southern blot analysis.
