Description

Local to DFW Area The NDE Technician will perform calibrations, nondestructive tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record results. Level II Technicians are qualified to set up and calibrate equipment, interpret, and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications. They are familiar with the scope and limitations of the NDT methods used and are responsible for on-the-job training and guidance of Assistants and Level I Technicians. Level II Technicians organize and report NDT results. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods Establish techniques for proper examination, ensuring safety regulations are followed Apply testing criteria according to specifications or standards and evaluate results Interpret radiographs, CRT or digital readouts, conductivity meters, and visual indicators Organize and report test results Perform specialized inspections May instruct and supervise others Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management. Education and Experience

NDT Level II RT with OJT and state card. Preferred: NDT Level II MT, PT, UTT. Technical background in NDT methods and procedures. Demonstrated ability to perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret inspection results. Knowledge of NDT equipment. High School Diploma or equivalent. Must pass DISA Background check, drug screens, and site-specific safety requirements. Must test out in all required methods with XCEL. Qualifications
