Facility: Mathile Center for Mental Health and Wellness Department: Inpatient Behavorial Health Schedule: Part time Hours: 8 Overview
Activity Therapist (AT) is responsible for utilizing a variety of activities (art, music, games, video, drama, movement, sports, crafts, dance, relaxation techniques, etc.) to enhance the physical and emotional well-being of day treatment patients. The AT uses group content aligned with the program philosophy and governing evidenced based practices and collaborates as a member of the interdisciplinary team. The AT must be certified in Ohio as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, Recreational Therapist, or Expressive Therapist to provide such services, which may occur in group sessions or individually. The AT demonstrates and models Dayton Children’s values through effective interaction with patients, families, and treatment team members while providing excellent care.
