OCCIDENTAL PETROLEUM CORPORATION RECRUITMENT PRIVACY STATEMENT We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Certified Industrial Hygienist to join Occidental Petroleum Corporation Health & Safety Programs group based in Houston, TX. Responsibilities:

Develop and implement comprehensive industrial hygiene programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and industry best practices. Oversee and harmonize all aspects of comprehensive exposure assessment process including basic characterization, qualitative risk assessment monitoring, data analysis, recommendation development, and documentation. Oversee and harmonize all aspects of an exposure control system to include evaluation of new materials, evaluation of process changes, investigation of substitution of processes and chemicals, engineering controls, PPE and Respiratory Protection. Develop and manage/oversee indoor air quality and industrial hygiene assessments. Develop industrial hygiene sampling programs and create exposure assessment profiles. Oversee corporate IH programs and assessments to develop hazard control recommendations relative to - Ventilation, Noise, Radiation, PPE, Toxic and Hazardous Substances, Mercury, Odor/VOCs, Nuisance/Combustible Dust, Ergonomic Programs, Silica, Process Safety Management, Health & Safety Management Systems and Construction /Occupational Safety. Audit and oversee progress of corrective action programs from scope preparation through full implementation and conduct follow-up monitoring to determine performance relative to design criteria. Oversee IH Record System that documents results of exposure monitoring. Manage the Occidental Oil & Gas Safety Data Sheets update and review process. Oversight of the SDS program to ensure systems exist for chemical storage, handling and disposal. Interact and communicate with clients, contractors and regulatory agency representatives. Develop comprehensive worksite evaluations to identify potential health hazards, including exposure to hazardous chemicals, noise, vibration, biological agents, and physical hazards. Analyze and interpret data collected from monitoring activities and prepare detailed reports documenting findings and recommendations for corrective actions. Provide training and educational programs to employees on various industrial hygiene topics, including hazard communication, respiratory protection, hearing conservation, and ergonomics. Stay up to date with new regulations, industry trends, and advancements in industrial hygiene practices, and recommend appropriate changes to existing programs and practices. Conduct incident investigations related to occupational illnesses or exposures and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences. Coordinate and interact with other CIHs & CSPs throughout organization. Ability to travel domestic and internationally, as needed. Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, physical and motor vehicle records check. Skills:

Developed, managed and performed moisture intrusion/mapping and microbial assessments, including preparation of work plans for remediation efforts. Conduct personal air contaminant monitoring to determine employee exposure to hazardous chemicals (mists, dusts, fumes, vapors) and physical hazards (heat, combustible dusts, & Ergonomics). Performing advanced assessments of work exposures. Conduct comprehensive worksite evaluations to identify potential health hazards, including exposure to hazardous chemicals, noise, vibration, biological agents, and physical hazards. Performing air sampling, noise monitoring, and other specialized tests to assess the level of exposure to different agents and determine compliance with regulatory requirements. Developed and implemented comprehensive industrial hygiene programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and industry best practices. Qualifications:

Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) Accreditation is required and to be maintained. Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in related field. 10+ Years of Experience in the Industrial Hygiene, Safety and Hazardous Safety Sensitive Industry (5+ years practical experience in an industrial setting). Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills. Adaptability And Flexibility to Manage Various Work Schedules and Situations Related to Emergency Response Scenarios. Intuitive and creative thinker. Understanding of their surroundings and reason the services are being provided. A consultative demeanor and ability to work with customers / clients and offers solutions when needed. Must be able to lift 40 lbs., climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending, stooping is required. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including the use of a respirator. Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and/or Certified Microbial Consultant (CMC) Licenses Are Preferred but Not Necessarily Required.
