Phlebotomist I Part time – AdventHealth Tampa
Job Summary Phlebotomist I Part time. Collect and process blood specimens from patients while adhering to safety policies and compliance procedures. Conduct venipuncture and skin puncture practices, prepare samples for laboratory analysis, register patients, interpret and order test requests, identify and band patients for blood product transfusion, ensure pre-authorization and complete consent forms, maintain documentation and inventories, and perform other duties as assigned.

Valuable Contributions
Collect blood specimens through venipuncture and skin puncture practices.
Prepare blood samples for laboratory analysis.
Send specimens to reference laboratories for additional testing, as necessary.
Register patients, interpret and order physician test requests.
Identify and band patients for blood product transfusion.
Ensure pre‑authorization and complete appropriate consent forms prior to collection of limited coverage tests.
Maintain proper documentation, including accessioning logs, equipment records, and checklists.
Maintain adequate supply inventories and ensure supplies are viable prior to use for patient collection.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Education or equivalent.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification if required by facility.
