Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare site layouts, grading plans, utility designs, and drainage systems for residential, commercial, and industrial land development projects.
Perform engineering calculations and analysis to support design decisions.
Ensure project timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met in collaboration with project managers.
Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and local agencies to ensure project requirements are met.
Review and interpret survey reports, maps, and as‑built drawings.
Prepare technical reports and cost estimates.
Stay current with industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering.
EIT Certification preferred but not required.
1+ Years of applicable experience. Land development experience preferred.
Aptitude and demonstrated hands‑on experience with computer applications in Civil Engineering in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Excellent computer, writing, communication and customer service skills.

Compensation & Benefits Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as various market and business considerations. The wage range for this position is $35.50 – $50.00 per hour, depending on experience and placement into a Civil Engineer I – Civil Engineer IV title.
Full‑time employees receive a well‑rounded benefits package, including access to our company‑sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA, HSA and Supplemental Life Insurance plans. 100% company paid Life Insurance, Short Term Disability, and Long Term Disability coverage. Employees are eligible to participate in our company 401k plan with up to a 4% match, and also receive paid vacation time, paid sick time, and 11 paid holidays. MacKay Sposito pays for expenses associated with licensure as well as annual profit‑sharing bonuses.
