Job Overview PFD Electric LLC is hiring a Journeyman Electrician to power up our commercial and industrial projects across the region. Key Responsibilities Apply and enforce OSHA and client‑specific safety standards.
Interpret and implement NEC Code in all electrical systems.
Install, service, and repair commercial/industrial wiring, lighting, and power systems.
Conduct load calculations, size conductors, and terminate circuits (lighting, motor, control).
Troubleshoot and maintain panels, MCCs, transformers, breakers, and switchgear.
Fabricate and install conduit (EMT, PVC, RMC) and cable tray systems.
Wire relay logic, PLC I/O, VFDs, and other control components.
Operate large field tools and equipment (e.g., lifts, threaders, benders).
Lead or support crews, mentoring apprentices and maintaining high‑quality work standards.
Complete redlines, startup, commissioning, and as‑builts for job closeout.
Accurately track time, materials, and daily job updates using company systems (e.g., Asana, BambooHR).
Communicate clearly with peers, clients, and contractors, representing PFD with professionalism.
Qualifications 7+ years of total experience in the electrical field, with at least 3 years at the journeyman level in commercial or industrial work preferred.
Valid OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (required).
Advanced knowledge of 480V, 277/120V, control systems, PLCs, and VFDs (required)
Strong blueprint reading and schematic interpretation skills (required)
Mechanically inclined and proficient with Fluke meters and troubleshooting tools.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs, working at heights and in confined spaces.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
