JOB SUMMARY: To perform licensed A&P Mechanic work, including repairs, maintenance, overhaul, modifications, and troubleshooting, on Textron Aviation aircraft at the 26L575 - Sacramento. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs a variety of mechanical duties on various aircraft models involving diagnosis of malfunctions and required disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, reassembly, or adjustment of various aircraft systems to prepare aircraft for flight and delivery to customer. Performs turbine engine troubleshooting, inspection, repair, and engine run-ups. Conducts airframe system, component changes and systems checkout. Performs installation of service bulletins and kits on airframes and engines. Requires knowledge of 100 hour, annual and progressive inspection procedures set forth in FAR 43. Uses equipment such as tensiometers, micrometers, pressure gauges, dial gauges, vacuum gauges, timing lights, and a variety of hand tools to repair or modify systems or assemblies. Required to tow and move aircraft during the performance of maintenance duties. Assists in the cleaning of parts and components during the repair and assembly of aircraft. Performs other tasks and duties associated with the service center operation. Responsible for own work. EDUCATION: High school education or equivalent required A&P License is required In lieu of A&P license must have DD214 form to be reviewed and eligible for company-sponsored technical certification and future license achievement. Must have hours of On-the-Job training (MOS/NEC/AFSC) reviewed and evaluated by FSDO Requires use of arithmetic, blueprints, and specifications plus knowledge of jet and piston airframe and engine principles. Must have knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems. EXPERIENCE: Requires a minimum of 2 years’ experience with diversified jet, turboprop, piston, modification, aircraft/flight maintenance or airframe sheet metal maintenance. Preferred 5 years of experience. Preferred experience in a customer service facility performing inspections and repair of aircraft. QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to obtain and maintain an Airport Security Badge through the local airport authority (if applicable). Textron’s compensation package includes competitive base pay and provides eligible employees with benefit programs. The pay range should be used as a general guide only. Compensation is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. In compliance with the local pay transparency law, the pay range for this position is $41.98 - $51.32 per hour.
