Materials Lab Technician (Concrete / Soils)
Location: Norcross, Georgia
We are seeking a
Materials Lab Technician
to perform laboratory testing for construction materials and geotechnical/soils projects. This role supports quality assurance and ensures materials meet project specifications for a variety of clients.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct laboratory tests on asphalt, concrete, aggregates, and soils for commercial and transportation projects.
Perform strength, density, and moisture tests following GDOT, ACI, ASTM, and AASHTO standards.
Accurately document and report test results to project managers and clients.
Maintain and calibrate lab equipment per GDOT, ACI, ASTM, and AASHTO requirements.
Follow safety protocols and quality control procedures.
Preferred Certifications
American Concrete Institute (ACI) Lab Certifications (Aggregate, Strength, etc.)
GDOT Lab Certifications (Aggregate, Concrete Strength, Asphalt, etc.)
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
Ability to work in a laboratory environment and occasionally assist in the field.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
