Key Responsibilities

Perform all assigned tasks in a professional manner to reflect company integrity.

Routine cleaning of administrative offices, lobbies, breakrooms, lounges, corridors, bathrooms, elevators, and stairways.

Clean, sweep, mop, and dust toilets and restrooms; restock supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap.

Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, windows, doors, trim, and related furnishings; move furniture only when directed by a supervisor. Use safety poles for high dusting.

Collect both recyclable and non‑recyclable waste; replace trash‑can liners where applicable.

Clean telephones periodically with germicidal disinfectants if applicable.

Vacuum traffic areas and remove visible debris from carpets.

Clean light switches, doors, walls, modular furniture and blinds.

Polish tables, benches, chairs, stainless‑steel elevators, escalators, water fountains, sinks, and remove cobwebs.

Safely empty trash in the proper dumping area and break down heavy trash into manageable weights.

Secure job area with safety signs when mopping or performing other hazardous duties.

Lock and unlock doors and windows; turn off lights in unoccupied rooms.

Report safety hazards to supervisor or manager.

Follow safety procedures, PPE use, and infection‑control practices, including hand washing and bloodborne pathogen protocols.

Work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.

Keep cleaning carts and equipment safe, replenished, and locked as required.

Maintain custodial closet security and correct key sign‑in/sign‑out procedures.

Keep hallways clear of carts and hazardous items to prevent trips and falls.

Leave equipment and cleaning materials clean at shift end.

Complete additional duties as assigned.

Job Skills / Requirements JOB TITLE: General Cleaner

SUMMARY: This position involves custodial work, cleaning approximately 4,500–5,000 square feet per hour, in accordance with industry standards. Responsibilities include the duties listed above.

OHS & Safety: Must wear black slip‑resistant safety shoes, maintain personal protective equipment, and comply with all bio‑hazard and infection‑control procedures.
