Our wholesale manufacturing client is seeking an experienced
Technical Designer – Outerwear
who is highly skilled in garment construction, fit, and technical specifications. This role is ideal for someone with a strong eye for detail and a passion for maintaining quality standards across all stages of product development. Must have outerwear and PLM experience. On-site in Midtown. Key Responsibilities
Prepare and update technical packages and development specs using PLM software. Review prototypes and fit samples, providing clear direction and corrections to factories. Work closely with design and technical teams to maintain consistency with brand standards. Ensure accurate fit and construction details that align with style requirements. Track sample approvals, ensuring timely follow-up with suppliers and vendors. Organize fit samples and manage submission processes for customer approvals. Required Qualifications
Background in technical design with proven expertise in outerwear. Hands-on experience with PLM systems; Adobe Illustrator and MS Excel proficiency highly preferred. Deep understanding of garment fit, construction, and pattern corrections. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Seniority level
