Civil Engineer (EIT) – Land Development Company:

Location:

Round Rock TX

Salary Range:

$70,000 – $95,000 annually (DOE)

Total Compensation Package:

$80,000 – $115,000+ (including benefits and growth opportunities)

Position Overview We are seeking a

Civil Engineer (EIT)

with

2+ years of land development experience

to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of

residential, commercial, and mixed-use development projects

while learning from experienced engineers and project managers. You will play an important role in

design, permitting, coordination, and construction support

as part of a collaborative and forward-thinking civil engineering team.

Key Responsibilities Design and Analysis

Assist in the design of civil engineering projects, including grading, utilities, roadways, and stormwater management.

Perform calculations for hydrology, drainage, erosion control, and site layout.

Develop and review drawings, plans, and specifications using

AutoCAD and Civil 3D .

Project Coordination

Support project managers with scheduling, budgets, and resource allocation.

Collaborate with contractors, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to meet project milestones.

Help prepare cost estimates, proposals, and construction documentation.

Regulatory Compliance & Permitting

Assist with preparing permit applications for municipal, state, and federal approvals.

Ensure compliance with

zoning codes, environmental regulations, and building standards .

Participate in meetings with municipalities, planning boards, and regulatory agencies.

Field Investigations & Data Collection

Conduct site visits to gather topographic, environmental, and utility information.

Document site conditions and provide recommendations for design solutions.

Support preparation of technical reports and analysis for clients.

Collaboration & Communication

Prepare presentations, reports, and design documentation.

Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients.

Participate in design and project review meetings.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

Certification:

Engineer-in-Training (EIT) required.

Experience:

2+ years in land development or civil engineering.

Software:

Proficiency in

AutoCAD, Civil 3D , Microsoft Office (GIS experience a plus).

Skills:

Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and problem‑solving abilities.

Knowledge of environmental permitting and stormwater management.

Familiarity with project management software (Microsoft Project or similar).
