Core Responsibilities
Support Project Managers and Engineers with engineering design tasks for various projects
Perform civil engineering design and associated calculations and interpret plans from other engineering-related disciplines
Apply technical expertise and be able to work with a project team on conventional and unconventional projects
Perform independent research and delegate changing priorities
Adhere to Horrocks safety standards to uphold a safe and efficient environment
Work in a collaborative team environment and deliver accurate work that is error‑free
Maintain a professional attitude and fulfill responsibilities with integrity
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies
Have a strong sense of urgency and self‑initiative to meet client deadlines
Prioritize work to meet various project requests and deadlines, answering to various engineers and project managers
Be able to develop designs and documentation using MicroStation ORD and other design software
Manage project data files from various sources
Be proactive and responsive in effectively communicating with colleagues and clients, both in‑person and virtually/remotely
Ability to travel and perform fieldwork on occasion
B.S. in Civil Engineering – EIT
0-4+ years of experience in civil design UDOT experience is preferred
Passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
Must be able to work independently with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks, with competing priorities
