Pay Range
$22.73 – $28.41 per hour (minimum to midpoint)
Summary
This position oversees the patient experience at assigned practice(s) and is responsible for overall effective practice performance. The role includes hands‑on leadership, workflow development, patient schedule management, provider and staff engagement, patient experience, financial performance, and billing compliance. The Practice Manager assists the Practice Director with operational plans and budgets (capital and operations) and implements performance improvement strategies within the practice. The role also involves recruitment, development, and supervision of staff, and acts as a leader in the manager’s absence.
Responsibilities
Oversee patient experience and overall practice performance.
Develop and improve workflows, manage patient scheduling, and engage providers and staff.
Monitor financial performance and ensure billing compliance.
Assist the Practice Director with operational plans, budgets, and performance improvement strategies.
Recruit, develop, and supervise staff; provide coaching and performance support.
Apply effective communication strategies to solve simple and complex situations.
Promote teamwork and reflect the mission and values of Lee Health.
Requirements
Education: Two years of formal education beyond high school; Associate’s degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum 1 year of healthcare leadership experience; physician office experience preferred.
Certification: N/A
License: N/A
Other: Computer proficiency (word processing, spreadsheets, electronic health record, billing software); excellent written and oral communication; strong interpersonal skills; ability to handle difficult conversations; ability to analyze and re‑engineer operations and report metrics; flexibility to accommodate workload changes; ability to work independently and set priorities under minimal supervision; alignment with organization values, mission, and vision.
