Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design, analysis, and development of advanced mechanical systems and components. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects that meet performance, cost, and schedule targets.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of mechanical systems, components, and assemblies for various applications.

Perform complex engineering calculations, simulations, and analyses to ensure robust and reliable designs.

Develop detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using industry-standard software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, CAMEO).

Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and failure mode effects analyses (FMEAs) to validate design concepts.

Collaborate with materials engineers to select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes.

Oversee prototype fabrication, testing, and validation, including the interpretation of test data.

Ensure designs meet all relevant industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.

Prepare and present technical reports, design reviews, and project updates to stakeholders.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Minimum of 4 years of experience in mechanical engineering or related roles.

Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Proven expertise in mechanical design, analysis, and development.

Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, CAMEO).

Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.

Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with structural, shock, vibration, and thermal analysis.

Experience with design compliant to MIL-STD-108 (Basic Requirements for Enclosures for Electric and Electronic Equipment).

Experience with MIL-STD-167 (Mechanical Vibrations of Shipboard Equipment).

Experience with MIL-STD-461 (Electromagnetic Interference Characteristics).

Experience with MIL-STD-810 (Environmental Engineering Considerations and Laboratory Tests).
