Job Description Summary of Position
The Maintenance Technician Lead Hand will be responsible for performing preventative and predictive maintenance to all production equipment.In addition to this, they are responsible for being a senior member of the maintenance team, and provide leadership and expertise to Jr. Technicians and to audit PMS completed by other technicians.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain production equipment to maximize operating performance and assist with maintaining electrical spare parts’ inventory levels.
Performrepairsonequipmenttorestoreittoproperandsafeworkingconditions.
Perform installation, set up, modification and relocation of equipment to accommodate orimproveproductionrequirements.
Read/writeelectricalandelectronicschematics/diagrams,basichydraulicandpneumaticdiagrams.
Testelectricalandelectronicequipmentandcomponentsforcontinuity,current,voltageand resistance
Ensure the production schedule is not jeopardized due to machine breakdown, or unsafeoperatingconditionsandinformMaintenanceManageraboutchangesinelectriccircuitsandupdateoriginal diagrams.
AlwaysfollowLOCKOUTprocedureonunsafemachines/machinesbeingserviced.
Adhere to work orders, preventive/predictive maintenance systems by filling in required formsandorganizeworkplacetocomply withhousekeepingrequirements.
Performpreventative/predictivemaintenancetoallproductionequipmentasrequired.
CompleteelectricalandmechanicalprojectsbasedondirectiongivenfromMaintenanceSupervisorasrequiredbygovernmentregulation.
Demonstrate safe work practices and follow company safety policies, procedures, andregulationsalways.
Initiate and complete all other jobs, projects and special assignments as directed byMaintenanceSupervisor
Maintain compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and recommend measures toimprovehealthandsafety.
Repair and replace electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic and electronic components such as motors, contactors, relays, timers, types of switches, PLCs, light curtains, motorcontrolsandvalves.
Qualifications Skills
Able to read wiring diagrams, electrical/mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic schematics andladder/function block logic.
Working knowledge of industrial PCs and PLCs (SiemensStep 7, Beckhoff TwinCat, etc.) and electric circuitry consisting of contactors, relays, mainvoltage/controlvoltage, limit switches andproximity sensors
