We’re looking for an Embedded Firmware Engineer to join our engineering team and help design the code that controls our cutting-edge VI Chip power components. In this role, you’ll work side by side with analog engineers to develop firmware that optimizes performance, enhances reliability, and brings smart power products to life. What You’ll Do Design and develop embedded firmware architecture and code for advanced VI Chip products Collaborate with hardware and analog engineers to create and refine digital control algorithms Use oscilloscopes, traces, and diagnostics tools to troubleshoot and debug complex issues Help define tools, processes, and reusable code modules for scalable product families Evaluate and select microcontrollers that balance cost, capability, and scalability Translate product requirements into actionable engineering tasks and track progress Mentor teammates on embedded best practices and structured firmware development Participate in documentation, unit testing, validation, and release processes What You Bring Bachelor’s in Electrical or Computer Engineering (Master’s preferred) 5+ years of experience developing embedded firmware for microcontrollers/microprocessors Strong programming skills in C and Assembly (C++, Python are a bonus) Deep understanding of hardware/software interaction and embedded debugging Analytical and methodical mindset with strong attention to detail Comfortable working on tight deadlines and delivering production-ready code Bonus points for experience in power electronics or control systems design Familiarity with tools like Simulink, StateFlow, ARM Cortex M0, MS DevStudio is a plus You won’t just be writing code — you’ll be enabling smarter, more efficient power solutions for real-world applications.
