Wayfare Energy is currently looking for experienced Electrical Helpers (Solar). Electrical Helpers are expected to assist Electrician and Journeyman Leads (Solar) with installing a variety of electrical devices at job sites across the Orlando area.
Responsibilities include:
Measure, cut and bend wire and conduit, using measuring instruments and hand tools.
Cut metal components for installation
Trace out short circuits in wiring, using test meter
Test electrical equipment or systems to ensure proper functioning
Strip insulation from wire ends, using wire stripping pliers, and attach wires to terminals for subsequent soldering
Drill holes and pull or push wiring through openings, using hand and power tools
Perform semi-skilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment
Dig trenches or holes for installation of conduit or supports
Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment and keep parts and supplies in order
Organize tools and supplies to be used at the work site according to the instructions of the electrician
Requirements
Qualified candidates will have:
Minimum of 1-year experience is required
Must have experience running MC, bending conduit, installing boxes, lights, outlets, and pulling wire
Ability to read blueprints a plus
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
Willingness to learn and follow detailed instructions
Formal education and/or training preferred
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work in all weather environments depending on job location
Ability to work on roofs and in tight crawl spaces/attic settings
Must have all hand tools required for job
Valid driver's license
Reliable transportation
Authorized to work in the U.S.
Interest in the solar industry
