About the Position At Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH), our mission is rooted in empowering individuals and strengthening communities. We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Service Professionals to join our caring, multidisciplinary team at Henry House, a newly constructed, innovative adolescent respite facility in Burgaw, NC.

This isn’t just a job — it’s a meaningful opportunity to support young people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and mental health challenges as they build independence and thrive in a supportive, person-centered environment.

Your Role in Our Mission As a Direct Service Provider, you will play a vital role in the lives of adolescents with complex needs by supporting them in residential and community-based settings. Under the supervision of a Qualified Professional (QP), you will assist individuals in reaching their goals through daily living activities, community engagement, and skill development — always guided by person-centered and informed-choice practices.

This position follows a standard Tuesday to Saturday schedule with 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) during the summer months. We offer an assortment of benefits for part-time and as-needed positions.

Compensation & Benefits

$20.00 – $25.00, based on experience

What We’re Looking For To succeed in this role, you must be a reliable, compassionate team player with a passion for supporting others. Adaptability, strong communication skills, and a good sense of humor are essential!

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

At least 1 year of experience supporting individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs

Valid, unrestricted North Carolina driver’s license with a clean driving record

Proof of current auto insurance

Basic computer skills for documentation and communication

Flexibility and a willingness to take on various responsibilities

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

A collaborative mindset and genuine compassion for others
