Responsibilities

The Project Executive reports directly to the Director of General Contracting.

Primary representative of RGC, developing and expanding relationships with internal and external clients.

Primary client contact for managing expectations.

Ensure consistent performance and project delivery that exceeds client expectations for preconstruction and construction.

Responsible for all project commitments and follow‑through.

Arrange opportunities for personal interaction and networking with architects, engineers, brokers, and other staff associated with the client.

Participate in bid proposal kick‑off meetings.

Assist and manage proposal responses, schedule development, and lead shortlist presentations of the team.

Conduct post‑closeout reviews of projects.

Provide leadership in business judgment and all financial and profitability aspects of projects under your jurisdiction.

Help acquire and define projects and develop budgets to achieve profitability objectives, taking into account project‑specific challenges.

Set milestones and assign qualified staff to handle scope and complexity.

Work closely with clients, owners, architects, and subcontractors to develop relationships that exceed RGC’s demanding standards.

Oversee all resources from start‑up through closeout, ensuring owner expectations and budgetary objectives are exceeded.

Maintain high‑level project oversight, including budget, costs, unexpected events, general performance, and overall progress against plan.

Ensure day‑to‑day operations are transitioned effectively to Project Managers and Superintendents from Preconstruction when field work begins.

Mentor, train, and coach staff to perform to or exceed RGC standards.

Represent RGC to owners, architects, consultants, government authorities, vendors, and subcontractors.

Lead internal and external project acquisition opportunities.

Represent RGC capabilities and help close potential projects by understanding unique owner needs.

Review projects for challenges that impact budget and profitability objectives.

Assign appropriate Project Management staff in association with the Operations Manager.

Review and approve pre‑mobilization activities.

Ensure turnover meetings occur between Preconstruction and Operation teams.

Manage project quality review, close‑out, and ensure budget and profitability objectives are met.

Monitor and evaluate Project Management and Superintendent staff assignments.

Accurately manage the forecast of project performance.

Visit sites regularly to monitor project performance, schedule, and expenditures, highlighting potential challenges and leading creative responses to keep projects on schedule and under budget.

Monitor client relationships and address issues as needed.

Attend owner and project meetings to maintain continuous client contact and communicate performance perceptions.

Ensure Project Management staff is trained according to RGC guidelines.

Recruit qualified talent; mentor, coach, and train them to perform and match talent to project scope.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

High School Diploma or GED required.

10+ years of project management experience.
