The Building Engineer is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance, routine and on-demand services on facility mechanical and electrical equipment and systems. The Building Maintenance Engineer is also responsible for performing work in accordance with established processes and practices and for complying with internal and external requirements including but not limited to environmental, health and safety, fire protection. Key Duties and Responsibilities

Performs work in accordance with established processes and practices. Complies with all internal and external requirements including but not limited to environmental, health and safety, and fire protection. Performs regular facility, mechanical and electrical equipment and systems monitoring and inspection, preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure facility uptime objectives are met, uninterrupted client operation, and asset integrity of assigned facility are maintained. Provides observations about facility equipment conditions and deficiencies and suggests enhancements and repairs. Monitors assigned facility by conducting facility walkthroughs, mechanical and electrical equipment and system monitoring and inspection. Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs mechanical and electrical building systems and equipment. Responds to routine and on-demand service requests and performs preventative and corrective maintenance on facility mechanical and electrical equipment and systems. Records resolution data within the service maintenance management database, ensuring work completed meets quality, contract response, and all other requirements. Receives, tracks, monitors and reports status of maintenance and repair work within the service maintenance management database, initiating documentation to obtain formal approval of work required. Assists in the implementation of a preventive maintenance program, ensuring deficiencies are identified, recorded, and escalated, with related documentation maintained. Participates in and assists with facility-related projects. Ensures work is performed in compliance with corporate and legislated policies, procedures, practices, and guidelines related to environmental, health and safety, and fire protection. Maintains all assigned tools and arranges for repair and replacement where required, submitting all expenditures on a timely basis. Assists in enhancing tenant and customer satisfaction and maintaining positive relations through the way work is performed and services delivered. Maintains all physical aspects of the building and the heating, cooling equipment, and electrical infrastructure. Performs all necessary repairs with no supervision. Completes inspections of all systems and makes the necessary repairs. Ensures the building meets all local and federal health and disability codes, and building codes. Supports Maintenance Technicians as needed. Performs maintenance repairs including, but not limited to: paint/minor drywall repairs, plumbing, appliance, and flooring repairs, electrical repairs, HVAC repairs, minor concrete repairs, pressure washing, building signage repairs, locksmith repairs, tenant services, and other duties and labor as assigned. Knowledge & Skill Requirements

HVAC Certification (Preferred) and experience in a commercial setting. Five years of experience as a Building Engineer or applicable work in maintenance. Expert Maintenance, HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical skills required. Ability to lift 50 lbs, use a ladder up to 30 ft, possess mechanical and electrical aptitude. Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written. Firm understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word). Ability to use computer software and iPhone iOS and applications. Ability to remain calm under pressure and pivot course as needed. Bilingual a plus (English and Spanish). Candidate Must Have
