Overview
Maintenance Mechanic - COI | Location: US-CA-City of Industry
Responsibilities
Follow and adhere to all safety rules, training and best practices at all times.
Demonstrate complete technical understanding and ability to maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, electrical controls, instrumentation, pneumatic, lubrication and PLC systems and components.
Ensure all paperwork and digital information is filled out in a clear, legible and accurate format and completed with all required information.
Attend and practice all required training.
Perform predictive maintenance techniques on equipment to enhance uptime conditions.
Teach operators on maintenance techniques when called to troubleshoot or repair equipment.
Complete preventive maintenance and other reliability tasks; assist in diagnostics, repairs and rebuilds of machines; partner with engineering or others on non-routine repairs and defect handling solutions.
Utilize root cause analysis to ensure sustainability of corrective actions and/or improvements to drive asset reliability.
Effectively complete PMs as scheduled to eliminate unplanned downtime.
Proficient and diligent in use of CMMS system to track maintenance action items, create and close work orders.
Classify breakdowns and analyze gaps in the entire process of design, fabrication, and maintenance of equipment.
Participate in continuous improvement activities, including creation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and preventative maintenance standards.
Follow QMS, Good Manufacturing Practices and 5S methodology to maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area.
Adhere to Pillar Standards and participate in Pillar activities (Quality, Focused Improvement, Safety, etc.).
Communicate effectively with Leads, OPEX Leaders, Production Leaders, Reliability Leader, Engineering and other colleagues.
Support plant production needs and priorities to achieve plant goals.
Facilitate, attend and participate in team meetings and programs.
Assist, train, and coach employees.
Comply with all regulations, policies and procedures.
All other duties as assigned or become evident.
About You Education and Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
Minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education that would provide the required knowledge, skill and ability.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in construction or repair of structures.
Computer literacy in programming and ladder logic.
Knowledge of OSHA, local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
Skills
Ability to communicate effectively in a technical manner with Danone Associates, Vendors, Contractors, and Customers, in written or verbal form.
Ability to apply math concepts to practical maintenance situations.
Ability to perform routine maintenance and determine when maintenance is needed.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Forklift OSHA certification on stand-up forklift.

Regularly lift and/or move objects, tools, or controls; walk extensively; may be stationary for periods.
Occasionally sit, crawl, stoop, kneel, or crouch; climb ladders and elevated walkways.
Lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Visual requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
