Under the direction of the Panel Shop Manager, the Panel Fabricator uses schematics to wire panels, control boxes, J-Boxes, PLCs, HMIs, and various other electrical components.
The Panel Fabricator will fabricate cut-outs in enclosures for different electrical hardware components. The role requires the use of various electrical and pneumatic hand tools, along with basic mechanical skills with other hand tools. A working knowledge of electrical schematics, components, wire gauges, electrical standards, and wiring troubleshooting is essential.

Panel Shop Manager Job Qualifications
Roles and responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, point-to-point wiring schedules, and schematics. Identifying inconsistencies in drawings and paperwork, and communicating effectively during assembly. Meeting deadlines or informing the Panel Shop Manager if deadlines may be missed. Collaborating with the electrical engineering team to resolve issues. Preparing components for assembly, such as cutting, stripping, and terminal fastening. Performing wiring and labeling of electrical components. Assessing components for repair or replacement and executing repairs when necessary. Using hand tools to assemble components, DIN rails, and wire ducts according to prints. Selecting appropriate wire colors and gauges to meet codes and specifications. Maintaining safe work habits and a clean workspace. Wiring control cabinets into machinery as needed. Assisting engineers and technicians with machine startup and debugging. Arranging for packing and shipping of panels. Required Job Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferred Job Qualifications
Ability to read electrical prints and schematics. Proficiency with multimeters for measuring voltage, current, and resistance. Knowledge of basic electrical theory. Basic mechanical skills. Understanding of electrical wiring and component connections per UL and UL508A standards. Knowledge of electrical codes such as NEC, ANSI, NFPA, and OSHA. Seniority level
