Job Title Experienced HVAC Technician

Location Blacksburg, Virginia

Job Type Full-Time

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC Technician to install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands‑on experience, a strong understanding of HVAC systems, and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Install, service, and repair residential and commercial HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation units.

Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system malfunctions and recommend effective solutions.

Perform routine maintenance, system inspections, and preventive measures to ensure optimal system performance.

Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics to accurately assess and repair systems.

Test electrical circuits, components, and mechanical equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Maintain accurate service records, including diagnostics, repairs, and parts used.

Provide excellent customer service by explaining system issues and maintenance recommendations.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an HVAC technical program.

Minimum of 2 years of experience as an HVAC technician in residential and/or commercial settings.

Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including refrigeration, heating, and ventilation systems.

Proficient in electrical systems and controls related to HVAC equipment.

Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and blueprints.

EPA certification and other relevant licenses/certifications required.

Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in confined spaces.

Comfortable working at heights, in attics, crawlspaces, and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
