Resin Production Supervisor

As a Production Supervisor, you will plan each day's work based on available personnel, equipment, and materials. These plans must be modified often based on changing priorities and availability of resources. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will direct and control the actual work process, which includes training and distributing work to employees, and monitoring the work process to ensure that work is completed.
Key Responsibilities
Primary contact with the hourly workforce and communicates on a variety of policies, procedures, and work instructions from other departments and management personnel.
Inputs information daily into database systems and completes daily batch tickets, production reports, safety reports.
Works with team to affect changes in job methods, operational improvements, cost cutting measures, and safety.
Involved in matters concerning employee safety, training, and counseling/mentoring.
Has frequent contact with Quality Assurance, Operations Planning, and Maintenance to ensure that product quality specifications are met, raw materials are available, and to repair/monitor maintenance of equipment and facilities.
Coordinates with other production departments to ensure the orderly flow of production from the raw material stage to the finished product stage.
Qualifications
High school diploma, or equivalent is required.
5 years proven experience in paint manufacturing or related factory work is required.
Technical knowledge of problems that may arise during the production or warehousing processes, including troubleshooting and making informed decisions to keep production on track.
