Staff Process Engineer – Battery Recycling

Are you ready to take the lead in transforming how critical materials are recovered, refined, and reused? We’re looking for an accomplished Process Engineer to drive process innovation, operational excellence, and technology scale-up within a fast-evolving recycling and advanced materials environment.
In this high-impact role, you’ll lead the design, optimization, and commissioning of complex industrial processes — turning innovation into reality. You’ll be part of a global team dedicated to sustainability, resource efficiency, and the circular economy, helping to define the next generation of lithium and metal recovery systems.
What You’ll Do
Lead process design and optimization for key recycling and recovery operations — from pilot scale to full production.
Drive project execution using disciplined project management methodologies to deliver measurable outcomes in safety, quality, cost, and schedule.
Partner with cross-functional engineering, operations, and technology teams to ensure smooth startup, commissioning, and ramp-up of new systems.
Conduct process modeling, mass balance, and material recovery analyses to inform design and operational improvements.
Manage technical risk assessments, cost analyses, and process economics (OpEx, CapEx, ROI, IRR).
Champion continuous improvement and operator training initiatives to build robust, scalable, and safe processes.
Lead plant trials and process validation using data-driven methods.
Support selection of materials of construction and ensure process integrity in challenging chemical environments.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering.
7–10+ years of engineering experience in plant, production, or industrial operations.
Proven track record delivering multiple large-scale process or plant projects — from concept to commissioning.
Expertise in process design, optimization, and scale-up, ideally within metals, chemicals, or materials processing.
Deep understanding of process economics, unit operations, and plant design principles.
Strong leadership in project and contractor management, with PMP or equivalent credentials preferred.
Demonstrated success driving innovation and implementing process improvements in fast-paced environments.
