Christa Construction Recruitment – Project Superintendent for work in the Buffalo, NY area. This role leads project execution, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule, while coordinating subcontractors and communicating with the Project Manager.

Thorough technical knowledge and understanding of all structural trades (Mandatory)
Read and comprehend all Contract Documents (Mandatory)
Understands geotechnical, structural and materials testing requirements and procedures
Thorough knowledge and understanding of crew size required for various levels of productivity in every critical path trade
Knowledge of soil types and their properties along with the ability to read and comprehend a soils report
Experience managing the installation of public utilities. Fully understands the timeframe for design, approval, and easement processes
Knowledge of Sediment and Erosion Control. SWPPP
Thorough technical knowledge and understanding of site development trades
Thorough technical knowledge and understanding of all building envelope trades
Thorough technical knowledge and understanding of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection trades
Thorough technical knowledge and understanding of all finish trade work
Thorough understanding of plumbing, sprinkler, HVAC, and electrical, fair housing and ADA codes
Experience managing, coordinating, and obtaining close-in inspections and certificate of occupancy
Can perform a full submittal review
Understands building codes and envelope requirements
Field Management and Administration
Ability to prepare and maintain accurate and professional as‑built drawings
Manages the commissioning of the building or oversees MEP engineers’ inspections, punch lists, mechanical startups and schedule/owner training
Effectively manage and chair weekly subcontractor meetings and take notes to track and update accordingly
Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure project harmony
Makes project status presentations at owner meetings
Completes and maintains accurate and thorough daily reports
Completes and maintains weekly and incident safety reports
Manages and maintains an up‑to‑date, posted, and accurate set of contract documents
Maintains accurate submittal files on the project
Performs accurate takeoffs (lumber, trim, doors, etc.)
Proficient and experienced with FTP sites, F‑drive server access, use, and similar computer abilities
Coordinates and documents all required project inspections with Town, Utilities, Third Party Agencies, insurance representatives, etc.
Has a complete understanding of all subcontractor scopes of work for the project
Schedule
Thorough understanding of the critical path on a project, sequence of construction, project phasing and various trade durations
Schedules and manages the project mock‑up
Creates and maintains an accurate “three‑week look‑ahead schedule”
General knowledge of the duration and crew size required to complete various tasks
Thorough understanding of lead time requirements for materials, selections, and work to be performed by others
Assists the Project Manager in creating an accurate buyout schedule and provides accurate dates for the submittal log to avoid late contract awards or material submittals
Communicates with suppliers to schedule and track materials, lead times, and deliveries
Quality Control – Managing the QA/QC Process
Holds Preconstruction meetings
Soils handling, placement, and testing
Civil utilities (storm, sanitary, water) and public utility installations
Concrete and masonry preparation, placement, and testing
Structural – steel / decking / joists and LG framing installation, details, layout, and structural review
Wood framing practices, inspections, and structural and dimensional review
MEP rough‑in practices, coordination, details, and inspection
Life safety — fire walls / smoke walls / fire caulking / UL assembly
Insulation (thermal and sound) and vapor barrier
All interior finishes (drywall, carpet)
Exterior waterproofing / weather barrier / moisture barrier / air barrier
Roofing installation, details, and inspections
Siding and flashing installation, details, and inspections
Masonry exteriors (brick, stone, etc.)
Safety
Holds an OSHA 30 Hour certificate
Obtains and maintains a first aid/CPR certification
Consistently sets a good example for others (wears hardhat, boots, safety glasses, etc.)
Demonstrates the ability and willingness to maintain a safe jobsite including disciplining subcontractors as necessary
Maintains easily accessible, up‑to‑date site‑specific Christa Construction safety manual
Collects site‑specific subcontractor safety manuals from all subcontractors prior to starting work on site
Consistently enforces Christa safety standards
