The Project Manager is responsible for multiple utility construction projects, overseeing work crews to ensure completion within budget, on schedule, and with zero incidents. This role is primarily in-office. Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Enforce all company, OSHA, and applicable safety procedures and standards. Develop and review structured cabling designs (copper and fiber) meeting industry standards (TIA/EIA, BICSI), client requirements, and scalability. Coordinate with architects, engineers, general contractors, and vendors to integrate telecommunications infrastructure. Apply RCDD expertise to ensure compliant, efficient, and high-performance network pathways and spaces. Prepare design drawings, specifications, bill of materials, and maintain accurate 'as-built' documentation. Perform site inspections to verify installation quality and standards compliance. Manage field changes, construction issues, and RFIs efficiently. Oversee cable testing, troubleshooting, and system validation. Participate in personal and technical development activities. Promote the company's mission, vision, and values. Conduct safety training as required. Build trust and project focus through client engagement and feedback. Foster teamwork, collaboration, and a strong safety culture. Provide leadership to team members, consultants, and contractors to meet project deadlines. Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED. Valid Driver’s License. 5-7+ years of project management experience. Proficiency with computers and electronic devices. Ability to read blueprints and follow specifications. Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint). Experience in telecommunications/wireless industry preferred. Active BICSI RCDD certification required. Deep knowledge of structured cabling, pathways, spaces, and data center MEP integration. Strong project management skills in scheduling, budgeting, and coordination. Physical Demands:
Must be physically fit to perform daily activities. Able to work in all weather conditions. Capable of lifting up to 75 pounds. Able to sit for extended periods for driving and computer work. May require focus on a computer screen for hours and some travel. This role involves handling confidential information, requiring discretion and confidentiality at all times.
