Overview

Journey Activation Engineer, Marketing Operations. This role involves developing and implementing digital marketing journeys in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and Data Cloud, building audiences, and technically implementing customer engagements across channels. A working knowledge of Salesforce CRM, Salesforce Data Cloud, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud Personalization is a plus. Responsibilities

Build and manage target audiences using Data Extensions, Filters, and SQL Queries. Create and optimize Customer Journeys using Journey Builder and Automation Studio. Execute and monitor email and cross-channel marketing campaigns. Perform quality checks and troubleshoot issues related to campaign deployment and data flow. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, analytics, and design. Document campaign setup processes and maintain campaign deployment records. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 2+ years of hands-on experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) or another marketing automation platform. Ability to configure, test, implement, and optimize audience segmentation, journey building, and campaign deployment within a marketing automation platform. Working knowledge of SQL and AMPscript, joining multiple data sources and building segmentation. Ability to build and maintain relationships and facilitate collaboration and communication. Ability to consult and collaborate with marketers on journey executions and optimizations. Familiarity with email, push, SMS, social, mobile app, and web channels. Experience in financial services marketing is a plus. Project management and organization skills are highly valued. Annual travel to corporate office in Des Moines if working remote. SFMC email specialist certification Knowledge of CSS and HTML Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud (CDP) or other CDPs (Adobe Experience, Snowflake, etc.) Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and professionally Ability to analyze data to support decision-making MCP (Marketing Cloud Personalization) activation experience Demonstrated ability to work with JSON data structures, including configuring activation payloads and mapping data attributes Salary and Benefits
