Process Engineer – Automotive Manufacturing (On-Site | Nashville, TN) About the Opportunity A leading Tier-1 automotive supplier is expanding operations at its Nashville manufacturing facility. We’re seeking
hands-on Process Engineers
who thrive on the production floor — solving real-time challenges, improving yield, and optimizing automated systems.
This is a
plant-floor-focused
role supporting glass and component fabrication lines in a high-volume environment. You’ll be key in maintaining process stability, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Own a designated production area and lead daily process improvement activities.
Troubleshoot, repair, and optimize automated equipment (CNC / PLC / furnaces / forming).
Manage tooling readiness, setup, and preventive maintenance schedules.
Conduct root-cause analysis using PFMEA, 5-Why, and Pareto methods.
Drive scrap-reduction and yield-improvement projects.
Support new product launches and validate tooling, heat profiles, and lamination processes.
Train operators on standard work and safe operating procedures.
What You’ll Bring
3 + years of experience in
automotive, glass, or metal-forming
manufacturing.
Working knowledge of
PLC systems (Allen-Bradley or Siemens) .
Strong
mechanical aptitude
and
hands-on troubleshooting
capability.
Familiarity with
CNC operations, heat-treat/furnace, coating, or lamination .
Experience with
PFMEA, SPC, and Lean / Six Sigma tools
(Green Belt preferred).
Proficiency in
CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) .
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering — or equivalent hands‑on experience.
Union facility with collaborative, floor-driven engineering culture.
Expect to spend majority of time
on the floor
during first 12–24 months.
Standard shift 6 AM – 2 PM (occasional overtime as needed).
On-site only – local or relocation candidates welcome (competitive relo package).
Base Salary: $80K – $100K (Up to ~$105K for exceptional glass/PLC backgrounds)
Bonus: 7 – 12 % annual (based on personal + company performance)
Relocation Support Available | TN-Visa candidates welcome
