Field Service Representative . Objectives for Technical Services and Field Services include supporting Tarkett as the leader in the flooring industry; providing excellent customer service; offering technical sales support; and maintaining consistent, timely, and accurate documentation. The position involves work with resilient products such as LVT, sheet vinyl, VCT, vinyl stair treads, rubber tile, and wall base. * This role is ideally based in Southern California, Las Vegas, or Texas. Job Responsibilities: Provide technical support through in-person contact, telephone, and email, covering product, installation, site conditions, and maintenance. Perform troubleshooting and problem-solving. Conduct claim inspections and technical evaluations in the field, involving travel across the western U.S., western Canada, and occasionally outside North America. Submit detailed reports within 48 hours, including observations, photographs, samples, and evidence. Install soft surface materials (carpet tile, POWERBOND, broadloom) for trade shows, mock-ups, field testing, and create tip sheet videos. Conduct training sessions and seminars, including hands-on installation demonstrations and presentations. Administer POWERBOND and broadloom certification tests (written and practical) with pass/fail outcomes. Manage logistics and submit certification paperwork for students passing the tests. Travel 50% - 75% with Tarkett Account Executives to support customer visits with technical expertise. Experience and Skills: Intermediate to advanced computer skills (MS Office). Effective communication skills; bilingual ability is a plus. Flooring installation experience, especially with POWERBOND, woven, and tufted broadloom.
