Group Summary The Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group specializes in automotive technologies that are driving the future of mobility. Job Responsibilities

Plans, supports, and implements total quality programs.

Designs, specifies, and installs quality control sampling systems, testing mechanisms, and equipment.

Formulates and/or assists in formulating quality control policies and procedures and development of quality standards.

Monitors and controls costs, timing, and other related aspects of projects.

Serves as a liaison and coordinates activity of internal and external resources.

Provides a problem‑solving function by initiating action to overcome obstacles and prevent potential quality problems.

Assists internal and external contacts to resolve product and process problems.

Investigates and solves manufacturing‑related problems in assigned area using formal problem‑solving tools.

Analyzes and develops suppliers’ products to obtain maximum productivity and reviews performance in operation providing suggestions for improvement.

Champions continuous improvement efforts and manages implementation of new and existing quality assurance processes.

Performs other duties as necessary and may supervise and provide work direction to other staff.

Key Functions & Responsibilities At level I, work is primarily routine and involves detailed engineering assignments. At level II, work requires independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of standard company procedures and translation of technical guidance into data applicable to the assignment, with moderate risk to the organization.

Qualifications, Education & Experience Level I

Bachelor’s degree in engineering field with understanding of advanced quality engineering practices, principles, and processes; or equivalent. Previous experience in automotive industry with fixture and gauge design preferred.

Ability to conceptualize, coordinate, integrate internal data, and clearly articulate concepts, ideas, and other issues relating to advanced quality engineering.

Strong organizational, project management, and leadership skills to prioritize and coordinate projects, manage conflicting needs, and handle multiple issues simultaneously.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills with ability to exercise influence at various levels.

Ability to operate standard and specialized equipment; strong computer background with ability to calculate, analyze data, generate reports, and present information.

Strong research ability and initiative to implement continuous improvement processes.

Level II (in addition to above requirements)

Three years’ experience in advanced quality engineering, project/program management; or equivalent.

Ability to work on long‑term, broad assignments with high originality and ingenuity.

Experience managing multiple large and complex projects and handling project financial responsibilities.

Leadership ability to motivate and train others through support, training, and guidance.

Ability to research, recommend, and oversee implementation of new products, materials, and processes.
