Overview
The RAN Lab support engineer (LSE) has a crucial role in this project, providing on-site and lab support to multiple Ericsson labs and remote engineers located in various locations (Canada, Mexico, India, US). Technical assistance is required for handling requests related to 5G mobile networks equipment based on 3GPP recommendations. Responsibilities
Perform on-site lab support and testing to evaluate real system performance in existing 4G networks and introduce 5G technology behavior for global acceptance. Test new mobile handsets (Samsung, Apple, Motorola, Qualcomm, and others) to verify compatibility with the latest software in 5G networks. Provide 100% on-site lab support with no remote work availability. Analyze issues and provide technical advice to Ericsson remote team members to ensure quick and smooth project implementation and execution. Respond to incoming requests from remote engineers and assist with troubleshooting and technical guidance. Qualifications
5+ years of experience in the telecom industry, ideally in the radio domain. 1 year of customer support experience. 1 year of troubleshooting experience. Knowledge of RBS node software/hardware architecture. LTE/NR trace collection and analysis. LTE/NR call flow knowledge. LTE/NR node/radio integration knowledge. Knowledge of Ericsson RAN portfolio. Intermediate tools proficiency (software like QXDM, QCAT, iPerf, tracing tools) is a plus. Soft Skills
Analytical skills. Good attitude towards new challenges. Timely and dependable. Seniority level
