Roadway EIT
to support our
Southwest Region
located in
Texas .
What You’ll Be Doing
Collects and analyzes data for inclusion in Project Plans and reports Assists and prepares project plans using OpenRoads Contributes to the preparation and/or modification of engineering reports and calculations for a wide variety of projects Prepares and assists in the preparation of project construction quantities and cost estimates Prepare and assist in the preparation of project specifications Review project quantity estimates, details, and check calculations and drawings for compliance to project requirements Prepare and assist in the preparation of project schedules Performs other duties as assigned
What You Need To Have
Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering EIT (E.I) Certification is required 2 - 4 years of experience Experience with OpenRoads Designer is highly preferred Previous TxDOT experience preferred Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Volkert adheres to federal guidelines, which may include testing for substances such as marijuana. Please note that federal regulations may differ from state-specific guidelines Valid driver’s license A satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR) Characteristics of a successful Volkert team member: Be a brand ambassador for the company who engages in diversity and inclusion, Be self-motivated to meet individual goals and maintain accountability in a team environment Exercise initiative and independent judgement in the solution of work problems Be able to communicate effectively- verbal and written Be able to multi-task in a team environment
