Field Service Specialist

The Field Service Specialist is responsible for systems oversight, monitoring, and error resolution to ensure data integrity and collection. Will support end user inquiries and account actions and provide technical recommendations on system errors and improvements. Perform assigned duties and responsibilities with guidance from the chief engineer or technical lead. Report to the Technical Lead.
Responsibilities
Proactively contact end users to address data entry errors via email, phone, Teams, and other electronic means.
Implement approved MERC standard processes (MSP) consisting of quality management policies and principles, and promote an attitude of commitment to continuous quality improvement.
Direct, advise, or assist in conducting regular, special and integrated system test programs.
Plan, prepare and conduct on-the-job training as required.
Ensure thorough familiarity and awareness of all MERC core capabilities and the MERC current and potential customer base in an effort to promote MERC capabilities and interests to customers and potential customers.
Submit suggestions for new business opportunities or report identified customer problems or opportunities to the Director of Acquisition Strategy through their Chief Engineer.
Required Qualifications
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
A Master’s degree in a technical discipline and 5 years of directly related experience; or an undergraduate degree in same and 6 years of directly related experience; or a high school diploma and 8 years of directly related experience.
Extensive knowledge of Air Force plans and scheduling, flightline maintenance, and operations, preferably on the C-130.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Desired Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of Air Force Maintenance Operations, specifically Air Force or Special Operations Forces C-130J
