Overview
Locum Tenens Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) -- Night Shift in Las Cruces, New Mexico. This 13-week travel nursing job offers night shifts at a Joint Commission Accredited hospital, providing clinical support in a Level IV Trauma Center. Located in Las Cruces, NM, you will work in a Med/Surg Unit with orthopedic and cardiac monitoring capabilities.
Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg patients, including orthopedic and cardiac monitoring.
Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress using Meditech EHR.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide comprehensive clinical support.
Float to other Med/Surg units as needed.
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and New Mexico state regulations.
Participate in weekly orientation (Mondays) and ongoing nursing training.
Qualifications Active RN license eligible for New Mexico (New Mexico RN jobs).
Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience.
Ortho and EKG experience required.
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, HWC (must be obtained prior to start).
Fingerprinting and background check required per New Mexico state regulations.
Professional demeanor and ability to work with diverse patient populations (all ages).
Ability to wear scrubs (any color); casual wear not permitted.

Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 9/1/2025 – End: 12/1/2025).
Nursing Shift: 12 Hour Nights (19:00-07:00).
Hours per Week: 36 (Guaranteed).
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend / as needed.
Floating: Required to float to other Med/Surg units.
Electronic Health Record: Meditech.
Compensation
Estimated Weekly Salary: $1800-$1840.
